PASTOR CHARLES MOORE BRIEF

PASTOR’S  ANNIVERSARY
Pastor Charles Moore completed 50 years in the ministry. March 15, 1957 – March 15, 2008. Pastor Moore retired from El-Bethel Baptist Church on July 1, 2009 after 35 years of ministering in Belton, Missouri.
Pastor Moore has pastored El-Bethel Baptist Church since its origin in May 1974, almost 35 years. He has served as pastor of Baptist Churches since exit from military service in 1964. He has served as missionary and organized two churches. He also has been active in building and remodeling of church buildings and camp facilities.  He has assisted in the formation of several churches in Nebraska, Iowa, Missouri, Kansas, and Arkansas. He has served in all areas of association capacities on the local and state level. He served twelve years on the Missionary Committee for the churches of the American Baptist Association.  He served a total of eleven year serving as a missionary and church planter. Along with pastoral duties Pastor Moore is superintendent of Living Waters Baptist Youth Camp, Longton, Kansas.
He was licensed to preach by Quincy Missionary Baptist Church, Kansas City, Missouri, March 1957 [Now Calvary Baptist Church, Raytown, Missouri], and the church ordained him on  November 29, 1958.  
He currently volunteers in a local community capacity as chaplain of Research Belton Hospital and is a member of the Research Belton Hospital Ethics Committee, volunteers with Missouri Reentry Process Committee (MRP) [a community action program that works under direction of the State of Missouri, Department of Corrections, Board of Probation and Parole], Belton Cares [A community Action program to promote Belton and drug awareness Dare Program], and is a long time honorary member of the Belton Chamber of Commerce.  He works closely with the pastors of the area in the Belton Pastor’s Fellowship for the betterment of community relations.
Pastor Moore has worked closely with the mayor and Aldermen of the city since moving to Belton.  His children and grandchildren has graduated from Belton public schools and pastor Moore has taken an active role in the support of the school system and been involved in committees that support he school programs.
Pastor Moore Served in the United States Air Force - 1960 to 1964.
Pastor Moore graduated from the Missionary Baptist Seminary and Institute in Little Rock, Arkansas - Bachelor in Bible Language, 1969 and Master in Bible Language, 1970.  Other studies include Moody Bible Institute, Chicago, Illinois and Correspondence school with International Accountants Society, Chicago, Illinois.
