Subject: Kansas Preacher's Form
Dear Brethren,

At the last Kansas State Association Meeting we discussed the thought of having a preacher get together at the Living Waters Baptist Camp, Longton-Fredonia, Kansas.  The date set was Friday, September 30th, and Saturday, October 1st.

Living Waters Baptist Camp is used primarily for the churches of Kansas State Association and is available for use by all ABA Churches.  Direction to the camp is found on the web site for El-Bethel Baptist Church [www.el-bethelbaptistchurch.org and click on “camp”].  It  is approximately 2 –3 hours from Wichita, Kansas City, and Tulsa.

I will be planning on staying at the camp Thursday Night so I will be at the camp Friday morning. I would encourage all of you brethren to come Thursday night and bunk out with me and we will be fresh and ready to go Friday morning. I’ll make sure you are fed Thursday Night and Friday Morning.

We would like to make this an annual Forum.  Future Forum’s will be planned at this First Annual Forum.  If all goes well we will choose the topic for the next annual Forum.  Speaker’s will be chosen also for the second annual Forum. For this first Forum, I have selected the subject of Landmarkism. The Subjects to be discussed will be thus: (see)

(1) The Cotton Grove Resolutions Of 1851.
(2) The Affect of Pendleton’s Old Landmark.
(3) The Origin and Perpetuity of the Baptist Church.

We really need 3 forum panel members for each topic, for a total of nine panel members, besides that we need four preachers for each of the times set. So we need 13 or so preachers to fill the spots.  I’m hoping that we might see some of the brethren from outside the State of Kansas. The churches of North Eastern Oklahoma are probably among the closest Churches to the camp.
I need to know who is coming and if you are willing to take a subject as a panel member and would you like to preach for us.  The first responders are going to get the job.

Bridgeport Missionary Baptist Church will furnish the food and the cook’s.  The fee for each one attending will be $25.00.  Any balance left will be donated for further development of the camp.  If any of our brethren can make it, but don’t have the funds to pay $25.00 that will be fine with us. If you are an ABA missionary you are exempt, but you will be required to give us a report on the mission work, so come prepared. This is not about money, but fellowship and strengthening one another in the LORD.

Please e-mail me at mwandrla@yahoo.com, or call me at (316) 204-7560 if you are coming and let me know if you can take one of the subjects for any of the three forms, or would like to preach. God Bless, Mitch.
